Position

The Bilingual Medical Scheduler answers incoming practice calls, triage calls and handles calls efficiently and accurately. The employee must provide the highest level of customer service.

Essential Job Duties

  • Provide excellent customer service to the patients and staff of Raleigh Neurology
  • Answer incoming phone calls from Patients, Physicians, Physician offices, Hospitals and Pharmacies (Approximately 80-100 calls daily)
  • Triage and send messages to staff; Messages must be accurate, clear and concise
  • Schedule new and established appointments, including hospital follow-ups
  • Enter demographic information and basic insurance information
  • Verify insurance via online portal
  • Assist Spanish speaking patients and family members with scheduling and general questions
  • Provide assistance with in-office interpreting for patient appointments.
  • Schedule incoming referrals utilizing the Infina portal and referrals coming in via fax
  • Answer a high volume of calls while maintaining excellent customer service
  • Keep abreast of and adhere to changes in scheduling guidelines

Requirements

  • Preferred medical office experience
  • Preferred phone experience
