• Family-owned Houston community based and focused boutique bridal shop providing comprehensive selection of sample gowns in both size and style.

As a Modern Affinity stylist, your first priority is always to ensure every Houston bride feels special, empowered, and beautiful. Whether it is through direct interaction with clients, or assisting with store operations, everything is centered around providing the best experience for our clients. You understand that Modern Affinity is dedicated to delivering a customer experience unlike any other.

As a stylist, you are highly skilled at uncovering customers’ needs, then following through with enlightening solutions. You will assist brides in selecting gowns based on their style, needs, budget, wedding venue, and assist them in getting in and out of the gowns. You will follow up with customers after their appointments and go above and beyond to try and assist them in finding a dress and ultimately make a sale. Must be able to assist brides with changing into and out of gowns.

You perform other roles as well, whether it is maintaining visual merchandising or assisting team members. Always curious, you stay on top of news about styles and initiatives, ready to apply your learning in customer interactions. Your success is measured by team and individual productivity as well as overall store performance. You are proud to represent Modern Affinity, and you get great satisfaction from helping customers develop long-lasting relationships with Modern Affinity and always recommend Modern Affinity first to their friends and family.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Availability to work every Saturday and Sunday is a MUST.
• Strong interest in fashion and/or the wedding industry, particularly wedding gowns and other Modern Affinity products
• Agility at learning new styles and trends
• Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers, gaining their trust and respect
• Ability to deliver great customer experiences in any environment and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction
• Strong communication skills to converse as freely and comfortably with small groups as with individual customers
• Attention to detail to capture customer sessions
• Comfort using the phone and social media to interact with customers
• Protects other employees and customers by ensuring a safe and clean store environment
• Participates in regular event strategy to promote Modern Affinity and improve community relations

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• You are bilingual
• Retail sales experience is a must
• You are passionate about a bride’s wedding day and eager to share that passion with others
• You are willing to learn and embrace the guidelines behind Modern Affinity’s unique style of service
• You have strong people skills—you are approachable, a good listener, and empathetic

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $16.00 per hour
