Bi-Lingual Human Resource Assistant/Safety Coordinator

Division: Corso's

Status: Regular Full Time

Reports to: HR Manager

Position Summary:

Provides administrative support to the Human Resources Manager and the HR department as well as being the Safety Coordinator.


Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides exceptional customer service and addresses employee relation issues in a professional and confidential manner.
  • Assists with benefit enrollment, time and attendance, unemployment compensation, wage garnishments and child support.
  • Recruitment, employee on-boarding and separations.
  • I-9 verification and compliance.
  • Maintains personnel and medical files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Accurately enter HRIS employee information and updates.
  • Assist with mandated safety training and OSHA compliance.
  • Assist with employee recognition program and special events.
  • Makes copies, faxes documents, files papers and documents and performs other clerical functions.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Skills / Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of three (3) years hands-on experience in administrative support.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications with ability to learn the company HRIS system and implement all available features (ADP, E-Verify).
  • Bilingual in Spanish/English required. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be flexible and able to adapt to changes in the work environment including adjustments in work hours and/or schedules. Must be able to travel to our other location.
  • Knowledgeable in federal and state regulations regarding employment.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing and proofreading materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations, information, and documentation.
  • Must have reliable transportation and good attendance.
