BI Developer

Duties:

• Design and Develop data products within Tableau, SAP Business Objects, Alteryx and which include Reports, Dashboards and underlying ETL workflows
• Responsibilities include ensuring IT standards are met, production readiness processes are followed, and a quality system product is delivered into production
• Capture Business requirements and formulate technical design and documentation for reporting solutions.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, research, recommend and implement workable, realistic solutions for any enhancement or issue related to existing Tableau and SAP BOBJ environments
• Prepare and execute test plans for new functionality
• Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality
• Develop training outlines for end-users
• Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs
• Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
• Work with cross-functionally teams, including with business leaders to design, develop and evolve reporting and analytics solutions while guiding them on the best business intelligence practices. Data driven and systems-thinking approach to solving complex problems

Perform other duties as assigned:

• Administration, Security and Production support of BI and data engineering tools like SAP Business Objects, Tableau, Alteryx or similar tools.Install, Upgrade, Configure Reporting and Data Engineering Applications.

Migration of reports to production
Troubleshoot customer/production issues
Migration of reports to production
Management of User Access and Security.
Perform maintenance activities on BOBJ Landscape, Alteryx or similar Data Engineering tools and Tableau
Maintain current environment for operational break/fix issues, enhancements and user management or support

• Develop and Implement Solutions in Tableau, SAP Business Objects, ETL, Universes, Reports, and Dashboards.Development of BI solutions with SAP Business Objects, Tableau or similar tools.

Development of Data Engineering solutions with Alteryx, Oracle or similar tools.
Development of cloud-based data solutions AWS, Azure or similar technologies.

• Requirements Gathering and DocumentationCapture Business requirements and formulate technical design and documentation for reporting solutions

Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality
Translate user requirements into technical specifications and design documents
Develop training outlines for end-users

• Support business initiatives utilizing Project Management expertiseImplementing Project Management principles in the execution of the effort across all phases (i.e. full SDLC) for different data projects.

Project Lead in implementation of Business intelligence and other data solutions.
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
Work with developers and external service providers to assure compliance

• Solution Architecture and Design of New Data Solutions and Re design of existing solutions and Technologies.Manage the effort to define an overall solution architecture technology in Data Engineering, Visualization, API Integration, Cloud, Datawarehouse and similar technologies.

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs
Solution Architect new technologies according to latest market trends
