Posting Summary
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow for the Department of RUCARES within the BHI. Under the direction of the Director, Dr. Wayne Fisher, the Postdoctoral Fellow will work in the Rutgers University Center for Autism Research, Education and Services. The Postdoctoral Fellow assists the clinical faculty with directing and overseeing the assessment and treatment of children with feeding disorders or autism and related disorders. They will also be involved in developing and coordinating research programs. Responsibilities will include direct
supervision of the development and implementation of assessment and treatment protocols. Implements and monitors ongoing research activities in accordance with the needs identified by the clinical faculty. Additional responsibilities include developing, writing and implementing policies and procedures for the program. May work with patients who engage in severe forms of aggression which could result in bodily harm.
Among the key duties of this position are the following;
supervision of the development and implementation of assessment and treatment protocols. Additional responsibilities include developing, writing and implementing policies and procedures for the program. May work with patients who engage in severe forms of aggression which could result in bodily harm.
Among the key duties of this position are the following;
- Coordinates and directs client intake and discharge activities (e.g., conduct initial consent/paperwork with caregivers).
- Coordinates and directs assessment and treatment procedures and assists with implementation as needed.
- Reviews and edits initial drafts of session materials, session descriptions, and progress notes.
- Reviews assessment and treatment data to perform analysis of findings.
- Monitors and ensures the fidelity of assessment and treatment procedures.
- Develops and refines skill-acquisition programs (e.g., curriculum-based, developmental, social skills).

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience
- A Doctorate in psychology or behavior analysis within 3 months of start date, Licensed or board-certified (within 6 months of start date) as a psychologist or behavior analyst.

- Proficiency in English for both verbal and written communications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising work with children with feeding disorders or autism and related disorders in an educational, instructional, or therapeutic setting.
