Description:

The Benefit Technology Advisor position entails working with internal teams as well as client HR and Benefit Administrators who utilize Marshall & Sterling's benefit administration services for open enrollment cycles, carrier connections and employee benefit management. The Benefits Technology Advisor is responsible for carrying out various aspects of the benefit software implementation process, including needs analysis, configuration and testing. The ideal candidate will have benefit administration experience and must also be very detail and deadline oriented.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain employee benefits portals on licensed HRIS platform
  • Troubleshoot issues and non-routine situations by determining the approach or action to take in response to system limitations or processes
  • Follow established workflows and update internal systems accurately
  • Collaborate with the Benefit Technology and Compliance teams to assist in developing best practices, internal procedures and policies, and software guidelines
  • Answer questions and provide guidance to client HR administrators regarding system requirements/processes based on the company's resources and needs
  • Act as a backup for system trainings provided to client human resource/administrative teams on how to use their custom portal and the software's various applications
  • Adhere to established employee manual policies and guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of client, staff and agency information
Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; A two-year college degree or related experience required
  • Proficiency in managing data within HR Information System(s) and other related software applications
  • Proficient with basic office automation software; Strong background with Excel and PowerPoint preferred
  • Ability to effectively and accurately manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • High level of organizational ability with attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Group Health Insurance plan designs and product lines is a plus
