Nemours Children's Hospital, Florida is seeking a Behavior Technician (FULL-TIME), to join our team in Orlando, FL.
Located in Orlando, FL, Nemours Children's Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 130-bed pediatric hospital also features the area's only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. The Behavior Technician will:
- Collect data for each child's performance on a daily basis, both acceleration and deceleration.
- Conduct individual teaching sessions for each child as assigned - schedule changes daily.
- Assist in ensuring cleanliness and orderliness of the therapy rooms.
- Cares for child with toileting, dressing, grooming, feeding, and all other self care programs and needs.
- Communicate session outcome with parents/caregiver.
- Assist in developing training materials that are up-to-date with current technologies on a daily basis.
- Graph all data as assigned.
- Assist in designing data sheets and graphs.
- Provide input for programmatic decisions.
- Attend all weekly staff meetings.
- Perform other duties as required
- Adheres to all Nemours policies and procedures
Qualified Candidates will:
- Associate (2 years of training beyond high school; e.g., Associate's Degree). Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Must be eligible to sit for RBT test within 6 months of hire.
- Minimum of 3 months as a Behavior Tech or related field.
- Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
- Must be working toward Certification in Behavior Analysis
