Job description

CBEM brings lasting, positive changes to the individuals with developmental disabilities we serve, some of whom experience mental illness. We are looking for a Board Certified Behavior Consultant (BCBA) to meet with our team two hours per month remotely via videoconferencing or in person. This meeting is an opportunity to provide your behavioral expertise to our Critical Intervention Specialists (CIS) regarding the individuals we serve in addition to providing our team members with key tenets of applied behavior analysis (ABA). The consultant is expected to read our Case Reviews and provide specific recommendations regarding behavioral assessment and interventions.

This is an independent contractor position and is paid on an hourly basis.

Who we are:

We provide prevention, intervention, and crisis support (Critical Intervention Services) to both children and adults diagnosed with intellectual/developmental disabilities, many of whom experience co-occurring mental illnesses. Our stakeholders are Regional Centers throughout the state of California. Our model is are very similar to a wrap-around service. Our Critical Intervention Specialists (CIS) who are in the field with our clients are predominantly MFTs or MSWs many of whom are obtaining their hours toward licensure. We also have CIS with ABA backgrounds that are on track to become BCBAs.

Who you are:

We are looking for an experienced CA certified BCBA to support our teams. Knowledge/experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities is a must.
