Horizon Hospitality, LLC, a successful hotel management company located in Western PA, is currently seeking a part-time self-motivated, energetic and experienced Bartender for their Fairfield Inn & Suites Washington Casino Area to work our evening shift.

The ideal bartender candidate will be a guest focused, motivated, and passionate team member with a strong knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer. He/she will possess good time management skills and provide outstanding service to our guests. Attention to detail and the ability to create memorable experience for all guests is a must.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

- Greet all guests in a warm and welcoming manner.

- Consistently check identification of guests to verify age requirements for the purchase of alcohol.

- Present menu, answer questions and takes food and beverage orders from guests.

- Prepare drink orders to recipe and standards including wine and beer.

- Prepare appetizers and food items according to recipes and standards.

- Monitor seating in lounge/bar/patio area to ensure all guests are served.

- Enter all orders into the POS system, collect payment, and balance sales receipts.

- Responsibility serve alcohol to maintain a safe environment for guests and employees.

- Maintain a clean work area - bar, tables, floors, patio, storage area, etc.

- Stock supplies and maintain inventory.

- Slice fruit and make cocktail mixes as needed.

- Create seasonal drinks.

- Light cooking required.

- Ensure tips are reported properly.

- Inform guests of available food and beverage specials and practice suggestive selling techniques.

- Present a clean and professional personal appearance for each assigned shift. Fulfill complete uniform requirements prior to the beginning of each shift. If uniform is in disrepair, communicate this fact to the manager on duty.

- Always maintain a hospitable and courteous manner.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

- Must be 21 years of age

- Minimum of 1-3 years guest service experience in hospitality industry

- Alcohol Awareness Certification (must comply with State regulations)

- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner/ develops alternative solutions and uses reason even when dealing with emotional situations.

- Ability to manager difficult or emotional guest situations; includes the ability to respond promptly to guests needs and requests.

- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism; treats others with respect and consideration regardless of their status or position.

- Knowledge of food safety practices and the ability to adhere to safety and security procedures; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.

- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely in a manner appropriate to audience whether oral or written.

- Ability to lift and move 50 lbs. without restriction.

- RAMP certified preferred.

- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work on time. May occasionally require the ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours. Schedules will vary based on the business needs.

Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as business levels dictate.
