PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

• Follow instructions that indicate barrel pickup from warehouse, while ensuring you gather the correct sizes and quantity
• Follow S.O.P. to accurately cut specified spirit and fill barrels.
• Safely palletize and strap barrels.
• Utilizing a computer for data entry, manually enter barreling information in Stillhouse programing.
• Safely operate motor vehicles for barrel transport.
• Safely operate forklift if needed.
• Must perform cleaning and production breakdown duties as assigned.
• When in doubt, clarify assigned tasks with Production Manager or on-duty supervisor.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND VISUAL SKILLS:

• Must have ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
• Must have ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions independently.
• Must have ability to use all senses to ensure consistency and quality in the barreling process.
• Must have ability to operate, clean and maintain all equipment required in job function.
• Must have ability to use hands in a precise and repetitive manner for periods of 8 -10 hours a day
• Must have ability to visually inspect product as well as identify inaccuracies, product flaws or presence of sediment in the spirits.
• Must have ability to accurately measure and fill barrels.
• Must have ability to safely operate barrel filling pump.
• Must be able to record barrel number, date, type and product neatly and legibly on barrel.
• Must have good organizational skills and verbal communication skills.
• Must have ability to use logical or rational thinking to solve problems.
• Must have ability to perform moderate physical work; may be required to lift up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance, up to 50 pounds frequently and performing such activities as bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting and grasping for up to 10 hours without sitting.
• Must have ability to sit and focus on a single task for up to 10 hours.

EDUCATIONAL, DEVELOPMENT AND WORK-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

• A high school education is preferred, but not required.
• One to two years training or equivalent experience in production assembly is preferred, but not required.

REQUIRED WORK HABITS:

• Work habits include regular attendance, team work, initiative, dependability, and promptness.
• Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Works primarily indoors in spirits production environment.
• Potential exposure to sharp and rapid equipment movement hazards, sharp utensils, extremely hot wax, and dangerous chemicals/solvents if proper safety procedures are not followed.
