BARISTA / CASHIER

Summary of Role

The Barista/Cashier supports the Willow team and our customers at the espresso bar and/or the point-of-sale counter. Morning to early afternoon shifts, must be available most weekend days.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and be an attentive host.
• Prepare and serve excellent espresso and other beverages.
• Maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
• Complete register transactions and execute on payments.
• Collaborate with colleagues to fulfill the Company mission.

Examples of Duties

• Be mindful of guests as they arrive and browse; offer assistance and engage as appropriate. Operate brewing equipment and consistently follow recipes.
• Ring up guest selections on the register and handle related payments and documents.
• Address side-work and housekeeping as assigned—and as needed; monitor facilities to assure safety, functionality, cleanliness, and aesthetics.
• Restock the espresso bar, which may include grocery shopping.

Qualifications & Skills

• Be familiar with our products and the way they are organized. Utilize cloud-based point-of-sale system; possess basic computing skills.
• Listen actively and communicate with positive tone and language.
• Work in collaboration with a senior team member.
• Understand and follow instructions, policies, and standard operating procedures.
• Organize and prioritize short-term assignments; perform under pressure.
• Completion of tenth grade.

Compensation & Benefits

• Wages and benefits are in accordance with current Company standards, which may be tied to availability and time worked with the Company (tier/step level). Employees are granted discounts and/or pro-deals on merchandise purchased through the company.
• This is a TIPPED position.

Job Types: Part-time, Seasonal

Pay: From $10.90 per hour

• Guest services: 1 year (Preferred)
• Barista experience: 1 year (Preferred)
