BASIC FUNCTION
: Responsible for a customer forward AV/IT approach to supporting the day-to-day operation of the Conference Center as indicated on Event Order’s and requested onsite, supporting team members in first line AV trouble shooting, inventory and security of all equipment and facilities in the conference center. Execute and deliver Auditorium, Atrium and Meeting room productions to include Sound, Presentation, Lighting, VTC, Zoom, Recording etc. Support team members and deliver first-line support for guest computer use and connectivity, staff computer use, connectivity and software applications, and telephony. Report any found issues to the Manager/Supervisor.

Essential Functions:

§ Assemble and arrange conference equipment in conference rooms per event order, to include connecting and testing of tables.

§ Respond to support requests, ( for Sr. Executives as well as for end users as required) systems status, and network connectivity. Describe the typical AV equipment used in Presentation Technology in meeting rooms. Educate customer on Presentation Technology equipment in the use of control systems, networked environments & VTC/ATC.

§ Identify any challenged equipment – including tables, chairs, and projectors/AV equipment, etc. – and report to Manager/Supervisor to escalate challenge for repair/replacement/additional assessment

§ Respond via radio for AV/IT support calls to conference/meeting rooms currently in use.

§ Assist EIT (Lockheed Martin AV/IT) as requested.

§ Execute and deliver Auditorium, Atrium or Meeting Room production, Sound, Presentation, Lights, VTC/Zoom, Hybrid, etc.

§ Ensure storage areas are clean and well organized.

§ Assist in weekly walkthroughs for Maintenance and Inventory.

§ Maintain cleanliness of all equipment with daily cleaning of all areas.

§ Troubleshoot and provide solutions real-time while customer facing

§ Daily monitoring and evaluation of operation readiness of all equipment prior to start of events.

§ Move, add and change and operational telephone and VoIP support

§ Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).

§ Repair and replace data connectors on network cables and data drops.

§ Assist in the relocation of LM employees on the facility (move PCs and activate data drops in new location). Troubleshoot network issues with PCs and LAN (duplex mismatches, duplicate IPs, corrupt firewall software, proxy configuration issues, etc.)

§ Assist with imaging of laptops and PCs for deployment.

§ Demonstrates excellent Customer Service including project support as directed by LMC management.

§ Setup and configure PCs (creating local accounts and acquire static IPs on non-Lockheed Martin Intranet (LMI) networks).

§ LAN/NETWORK connectivity, and basic network connectivity assessment for troubleshooting or setups

§ Evaluates and tests software programs to verify functionality according to specifications and standards

§ Install and configure network devices (i.e. network printers, scanners, plotters, PCs, etc.). Troubleshoot problems with network printing and scanning devices. Perform data termination/ activation in telecommunication closets aka network connect (activation of data drops).

Requirements:


Three or more years of experience working as an AV/VTC Technician.

§ At a minimum, 3 years of experience with troubleshooting videoconferencing, audio conferencing, and integrated A/V technologies in a large enterprise.

§ Familiarity with IT, telecommunications, A/V, and electrical equipment including related materials and specifications.

§ Detailed knowledge of videoconferencing standards.

§ Excellent knowledge of computer software to include MS Office and hospitality programs such as Delphi, OPERA, Micros (preferred)

§ Functional skills and knowledge of Crestron, BiAmp, Analog Way, Digital Projection, ION, Extron and Shure

§ Knowledge of IP wired and wireless networks and the IT industry

§ Experience in Conference Center/Corporate environments – set up, AV, Support a plus

§ Must be able to lift, push and pull 50+ pounds

§ Good communication and guest relation skills

§ Understanding of computer software

§ Highly functional written and verbal communication

§ Perform at a 4-diamond service level

§ The ability to improvise and adapt according to the needs of the business. (Changes on the fly, short term requests, solid decision-making ability to mitigate guest impact)

§ Work in high pressure situation, with high profile executives.

§ Demonstrates professional desktop support history with a variety of platforms / systems / applications and tools. Desktop expertise with all aspects of computer functionality, system operation, and infrastructure including, but not limited to:

a. Network protocol

b. Strong ICMS (Install, configuration, move, surplus) and network experience

§ Basic technical certification, hardware repair, component level knowledge, operating system (Windows, Unix/Linux, Apple) and application knowledge, troubleshooting techniques, physical capabilities to include lifting up to 50 lbs.

Work Schedule: Please note, candidate MUST be flexible with end of shift times as they may fluctuate based on event end times. Candidate MUST be flexible and able to work 4 hours on Sundays on a rotating schedule with other team members once a month.
