AV Support Technician

1 Position: ideally located in Boston, MA region- (70% travel overnight)

RoomReady is looking to expand our Audio Video Support team with a responsible, customer-focused, results-driven individual. The AV Support Technician will provide level 1 or level 2 support to field installation teams and clients as it pertains to code implementation, device programming and diagnostics, service tickets, and close out operations. The ideal candidate will be experienced in AV installations and troubleshooting. The position will be working from home, but plan on travel of up to 70% to job sites, including overnight.

Key Responsibilities

• Receives support calls escalated by Tier 1 and provide remote or onsite troubleshooting support to clients.
• Documents all troubleshooting steps performed per support call; escalate to Tier 3, as required.
• Respond to department service tickets
• Tests all equipment upon termination to ensure performance of system.
• Performs physical installation of a job (e.g. pull wire; terminate cable; properly hang equipment) if needed.
• Care deeply about clients, customers, and the company
• Close-out and commission completed meeting room projects

Skills and Qualifications:
As a AV Support Technician you need excellent communication and customer service skills combined with a technically sound understanding of some of the following: Cisco, Polycom, Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, and other AV/VTC/UCC products. Specific required qualifications for the Remote Support Technician position include:

• Exposure to AV design principles
• Familiarity with Audio DSP programming and theory
• CTS or equivalent experience
• Proficiency with Creston, Biamp, Dante, and other manufacturer software suite
• Advanced knowledge and experience installing and troubleshooting AV installations.
• 1- 3 years of working as a field installer and/or remote support in Audio Video Devices
• Experience with ticketing systems and Help Desk Process
• Experience with training end users

Compensation & Benefits
Starting hiring salary range is $56,000 - $75,000 depending on experience. A comprehensive benefits package includes low cost/or free employee medical, employer full paid dental, vision, along with a 401(k) option. Paid vacation, paid sick time, and paid holidays.
