About the role:
The Automation Developer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining solutions to streamline and automate business processes to improve operational efficiency. The Automation Developer works closely with other members of the IT team, business stakeholders, and end-users to understand business requirements and identify opportunities for automation.


Duties will include:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and end-users to identify opportunities for automation and develop solutions that meet their needs.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and document business processes, procedures, and requirements to ensure effective automation solutions are implemented.
  • Design, develop, test, and implement automation solutions using tools such as Automation Anywhere, Power Automate, etc.
  • Automate manual, repetitive, and time-consuming tasks to improve efficiency, accuracy, and productivity of business processes
  • Conduct unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure automation solutions meet business requirements and are error-free.
  • Maintain and update existing automated solutions to ensure their ongoing effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that arise during the development and implementation of automation solutions
  • Ensure that automation solutions are secure, scalable, and maintainable
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation, and effectively communicate progress to project stakeholders.
  • Stay up to date with the latest developments in Automation technologies and apply knowledge to continuously improve automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure automation solutions are integrated effectively with business systems and processes. developing best practices consistent with our employee value proposition to attract, engage and retain key talent.

The lifestyle:
This position is a full-time role. Peabody offers flexible work policies, including hybrid office / home working arrangements and opportunity to finish at noon on Friday’s.


About you:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering, is required
  • A master’s degree in a relevant field is an advantage
  • At least 2 years of experience in software development using programming language such as Python, Java, C#, etc.,
  • OR 1 year experience in RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism
  • Experience in SQL is preferred
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms like Azure is a plus
  • Experience in business process analysis and optimization is a plus
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodology is a plus
  • Knowledge of ERP systems, such as SAP preferred
  • Certification in Automation Anywhere or Microsoft Power Platform is a plus.
  • Persistence to push through obstacles and continually improve processes to meet strategic business objectives and satisfy customer requirements.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills, strong systems aptitude, and ability to define/map business requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical requirements:

  • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.
  • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.
  • Must be able to use a computer.
  • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.
