Our Auto Damage Inspectors play a very important role in the Volta family. As an Auto Damage Inspector, you will be the eyes of the initial claims process and will assist in obtaining accurate representations of damages, photos and vehicle information.

You will have the opportunity to inspect anything from autos, trucks, semis, trailers, RVs, boats, motorcycles and many more. You have the freedom to create your own schedule that works best for you! Work at your pace, your clock, your way.

Your Responsibilities

  • Contacting vehicle owners to set up appointments for inspections
  • Drive to inspection appointments
  • Take specific photos of the owner's vehicle
  • Upload photos of vehicle to our system
  • Provide any additional information pertaining to vehicle in question

Some training will be provided and assistance will be available any time.

What We're Looking for

*This position requires extensive travel to different locations across Cameron county and occasional travel to surrounding areas/counties. Applicants willing and able to travel for long periods of time are encouraged to apply.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have a smart phone/tablet (iPhone or Android) with high quality camera resolution.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a tape measurer.
  • Must have a printer or have access to a printer
  • Bilingual a plus
  • Knowledgeable with Google Drive
  • Familiarity with personal computers, operating systems, software, and computer terminology required
  • Automotive experience is a plus (not required)
  • Must be punctual.
  • Must have attention to detail.
  • Must have a positive attitude.
  • Must have exceptional and professional customer service.

Disclaimer:

This role is NOT a full-time, part-time, seasonal or temporary position. It is intended to be a contract position. This is an independent contractor position and thus the independent contractor shall procure and maintain at his/her sole cost and expense all, but not limited to, personal vehicle maintenance, vehicle gas, personal expenses, bills, insurance coverage required by applicable law and by customary business practices for the performance of the services/job entailment as described above.

Pay:

$17.00/hr + mileage (if applicable).

(Mileage is applicable ONLY to select appointments, NOT ALL, outside of contractors working radius/appointment location)

  • This is an independent contractor position. Work fluctuates from day-to-day, so some days will be busier than other days and sometimes there will be NO work at all. We need a "go-to" person that we can rely on and that will be available when work does come in for your area.

Work consists of driving to different locations across Brownsville, TX and other surrounding cities/areas, taking photos of different vehicles and uploading the photos to our database. You will be responsible in setting up your own appointments that best suits your schedule.
