Typical Day in the Life of an Audit Manager
Might include the following:

As an Audit Manager, you will execute the day to to day activities of audit engagements with various clients, with a particular focus on complex phases; You will mentor, supervise, and train staff auditors as well as interface with clients on a daily basis

  • Manage and plan multiple audit assignments ensuring deadlines are met
  • Review work papers
  • Serve as the client's trusted advisor, demonstrate knowledge of industry trends, identify client issues and conflicts, and proactively communicate solution options to the client and team
  • Manage staff on engagement deliverables; ability to provide timely feedback on engagements ensuring staff learning and development
  • Complete technical and strategic reviews ensuring timely delivery within budget
  • Manage engagement budget, billing, and realization of assigned clients and the supervision, training, and mentoring of staff
  • Responsible for new client development in partnership with upper management; participate in client meetings, presentation and proposal development.
  • Evaluate internal accounting controls and audit programs or other reports, plans, or programs prepared by the staff
  • Supervise the preparation of management letters or final reports
  • Assist with training, coaching supervising and mentoring staff and interns

Who You Are: (Your Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's degree in Accounting Preferred
  • You are a CPA in good standing
  • You have a minimum of 5+ years of audit experience within a public accounting firm
  • You have the ability to perform and direct multiple engagements
  • You have experience with new client development and can recognize opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients
  • You are able to travel 20+ percent
  • You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, with strong proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • You possess excellent project management, analytical, interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • You have strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills
  • You are desirous of growth wanting to become a future partner

  • You project confidence and credibility in technical knowledge
  • You are energetic and enthusiastic
  • You have a high level of professionalism and integrity

Work Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States permanently without the requirement of sponsorship at any point in the future.
