What You Do.

  • Responsible for managing the broker agency Financial Managers in the execution of strategic initiatives within the Trade Management System
    • Analyze customer sales plan to determine opportunities and gaps while quantifying the financial impact to overall profitability and recommend changes to Sales Managers, Directors and VP-Sales
    • Lead the implementation of any changes to the existing business plan within the Trade Management planning system
      • Clearly communicate to all downstream team members, the changes in tactics and implications thereof
  • Become subject matter expert of trade process and trade management systems; collaborating with Field Sales Managers/Broker Agency Partners and Corporate regarding, but not isolated to:
    • Report and analyze account pricing strategies and execution
    • Report and analyze account promotional and merchandising strategies and execution
    • Develop a strong knowledge of customers’ promotion tendencies and policies
    • Implement and lead initiatives utilizing analytic resources to provide trade promotions recap & analysis
    • Reconcile Account Review system with other software and customer presentations/discussions to ensure accuracy of spend and volume forecast
    • Lead commodity market initiatives; prepare materials for Sales Managers and customers
    • Coordinate deductions resolution and actively monitor closing/settling of associated events in trade management system
    • Reconcile customer order pricing and approved offers (Customer Support and Demand Planning)
  • Perform annual planning with Fields Sales/Broker Agency partners and analytics team
    • Manage business plans to strategic planning rates and ensure adjustments accurately reflect corporate strategy
    • Lead initiatives relating to key insights from post-promotion analysis and other analytic resources
    • Contribute to the building of mid-year and annual customer business plans
  • Lead reporting, monitoring, and analyzing of annual trade promotion budget at customer level
    • Analyze weekly scorecards for opportunities to adjust or refine the business plan
    • Lead and manage the trade and slotting exception process
    • Collaborate on customer profitability and volumetric impact in support of trade strategy development and implementation
  • Lead training of trade management process and systems for all Field Sales Managers/Broker Business Agency Partners
    • Consults on all enhancements related to Trade Promotion Management Tools and systems


Your Education and Experience.

  • Trade Planning Analyst- Bachelors Degree (B.A.) and three to five years related experience
  • Associate Trade Planning Analyst - Bachelor Degree (B.A.) in Economics, Business or related and 0-2 years’ experience, with Internship experience in Sales, Marketing or Finance.

Your Qualifications.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Stellar organizational skills
  • Working knowledge of Syndicated Data (IRI or Nielsen)
  • Knowledge and experience in Excel, fluency in PowerPoint and MS Word skills required
  • Available for travel 20-30%
