UPMC and Community Care Behavioral Health (CCBH) have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Regional Director based in Moosic, PA. This is a Monday through Friday daylight role (regular, full-time) with hybrid work arrangements.

The Associate Regional Director provides assistance to the HealthChoices Director in the administration of all programmatic aspects of the HealthChoices Product. The Associate Regional Director assists with the identification of programmatic process improvement opportunities and facilitates cross-departmental workgroups established to improve work processes. The Associate Regional Director assists the Director in maintaining effective communication with the County HealthChoices oversight groups, and stakeholder groups.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Director in the overall management of reinvestment initiatives.
  • Work with the Director and other Community Care staff to define, develop and implement programs and services to further the mission and goals of the HealthChoices Program.
  • Support a corporate culture of commitment to customer service (internally and externally), accountability, and public health interest.
  • Participate in the outcome measurement activities of the organization; communicate with stakeholders regarding specific outcomes initiatives.
  • Work with the Director to monitor the management of other HealthChoices-funded behavioral health services.
  • Assist the HealthChoices Director and the Director of Community Relations in maintaining a very active organizational presence in the community by attending various community-based meetings with providers, consumer and/or family groups, county representatives, and advocacy groups.
  • Attend Advisory Board meetings and required meetings with stakeholders as assigned.
  • Monitor compliance with specific regulatory or contractual obligations as assigned and identify any areas of concern to the Director; assist the Director and other Community Care staff in developing action plans to continually improve the overall performance of the Program.
  • Assist with the development of internal policies as they relate to external affairs.
  • Share feedback from stakeholder groups with the Director; assist with the development of plans to address any identified concerns; monitor that necessary internal follow-up is completed.
  • Assist with the preparation of written organizational responses to requests from the County or other stakeholder groups as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a field related to behavioral health or government relations with related behavioral health experience.
  • 10 years of experience in public sector behavioral health, with at least five years of management experience.
  • Experience in managed care strongly preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of the current public service delivery system and the population served.
  • Direct service experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills required.
