  • About This Opportunity
Responsibilities:

The Associate Manager of Brand, Advertising, and Media will report to the Senior Manager of Brand, Advertising, Media and Integrated Planning and is responsible for ensuring the portfolio of brands under 7-Eleven and Speedway banners resonates with current and potential customers by developing brand strategies and implementing effective advertising campaigns across media channels. This role will also be responsible for advertising our shopper marketing programs focused on gaming , music, and sports in paid media channels.


Effective advertising starts with understanding our customers. This role will work closely with our insights team to understand key drivers of consumer behavior and turn those insights into actionable marketing plans. They will work closely with our agency to manage ongoing media plans for mass media and digital channels, and define and implement ad hoc media campaigns throughout the year to support key business priorities. They will also work with our internal analytics teams and agency partners to define an effective measurement strategy and report results back to leadership and key stakeholders.


  • Understand and consistently evaluate our brands' core and growth target segments and the competitive landscape through management of research and analysis
  • Collaborate with merchandising and digital teams to understand business strategy and objectives and translate them into brand and marketing strategy and goals
  • Oversee the brand strategy, creative content and design, and media plan for various brands to ensure campaigns are resonating with the target audience and delivering business results
  • Consistently manage and test ongoing advertising efforts to ensure they're engaging customers over time and delivering efficient results
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's/4 year degree
  • Years of relevant experience: 5+ years
  • In depth understanding of common brand, advertising, and media best practices
  • Effective communication, including writing, speaking, active listening and presenting to various levels and stakeholders
  • Multitasking and time management that allow for working on several campaigns at once
  • Collaboration skills when working on projects with agencies and internal clients
  • Ability to make effective and efficient decisions when planning, scheduling, and implementing campaigns
