FX Sales Associate – Tech and Healthcare/Life Science

Job Description
Join our thriving FX business and to learn about the different client segments we support, Technology, Life Science, Private Equity, and Venture Capital etc. As well as developing and supporting client portfolios through the active management of existing relationships and prospective opportunities, the individual will support the broader team in daily trading activities (order management, trade input, query resolution with FX operations and other related activities), business development, reporting and analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
  • FX Sales Trading – Execution of client FX transactions in accordance with internal policies and controls
  • Portfolio Management – Supporting senior team members in the management of client portfolios
  • Sales Activities – Ability to think critically and problem-solve in real time are key to success in this role. FX Sales Associate will conduct research, monitor trends and developments in the financial services industry and in customers’ businesses and recommend solutions and product enhancements that can generate fee income to the Bank and deepen client relationships.
  • Special Projects – Work with Product Management, Marketing, Relationship Sales and other internal partners on enhancing product capabilities and designing innovative promotional materials and sales campaigns to achieve greater external visibility for various products and ultimately increase new client acquisition/client retention.
  • Develop a thorough, in depth knowledge of the Bank’s FX products and services while keeping up to date on market news and events; Support desk in daily tasks including the generation of market commentary and management of internal and external inquiries
  • Meeting preparation – Put together pre-call packages (company info, relevant research / filings, management bios, CRM/SVB Online info, current SVB relationship summary, etc.).
  • Information Management - Develop client reports by team, by product and other relevant information analyze client activity and identify trends and opportunities. Requires analytical skills.
  • Adhere to and keep up to date with all internal and external controls, legal, compliance and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience working in a financial services/ payments / FX is required
  • Client-facing experience building and developing relationships is a plus
  • A passion for financial markets and the evolving global payments and FX landscape
  • Must be able to work and prioritize independently
  • Proficient in working with MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Ability to compile, analyze and evaluate information and data to formulate conclusions and recommend actions. Must be able to lead projects, collaborate and work effectively with all areas of the Bank.
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong listening and problem-solving skills

Base Pay:
$87,550.00 - $103,000.00
Actual starting base pay will be determined on skills, experience, and other non-discriminatory factors permitted by law. Total compensation may also include variable incentives, bonuses, benefits, and/or other perks, as outlined in any formal offer made.
