Are you a deadline-driven, proactive individual who would like to be a part of our collaborative corporate culture? The Assistant Estimator will work closely with the Senior Estimating team to obtain the necessary information in order to generate & send bids in a timely fashion. Applicant should possess a basic understanding of construction estimating practices & be proficient in reading blueprints with a strong background in math & computer skills. He / She should be organized with the ability to effectively prioritize & multi-task to meet "deadline driven" targets. Communication skills are required to efficiently & accurately convey thoughts & ideas to co-workers, clients, sub-subs & vendors regarding project details.
Various Job Duties may include:
- Computer earthwork takeoffs
- Manage & organize plan logs
- Organize, manage & distribute pricing requests to vendors & sub-subcontractors
- Manage, review & organize project submittal logs - with follow-up on revisions!
- Blue print reading
- Length / area takeoffs
- GPS machine modeling
- RFI's
- Scheduling
