The Role

CCS Fundraising is seeking a professional to support the strategy, coordination, and execution of marketing and business development efforts. Areas of focus include supporting executive relationship building, executing targeted and mass business development communications, and the creation of content to support new and developing business relationships. This is not a sales or lead-generating position.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Support with projects in the sales, marketing, and overall operations pipeline
  • Manage the development and preparation of sales proposals, presentations, and other supporting materials including drafting, designing, editing, and ensuring distribution of materials
  • Work with the Executive Leadership Team to strategize and implement follow up and next steps for individual institutions in the sales pipeline process
  • Assist in the planning and execution of CCS events, e.g. create content (such as webinar presentations, learning and development curriculum), compile invitation lists to ensure key audience inclusion, manage event logistics, and execute day-of event
  • Partner on development and implementation of mass marketing campaign, e.g. draft outreach language, create and update outreach lists, and help execute mass marketing outreach for contacts and prospects
  • Compile research on nonprofit organizations and relevant industry trends to inform sales and marketing activity
  • Manage participation in conferences, submitting speaking proposals for executives, developing content as appropriate, and coordinating logistics and follow up
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with associations, professional groups, and thought partners
  • Develop and maintain reports related to sales, staffing and business development
  • Maintain and update key business development and marketing contacts and distribution lists
  • Track and advise strategy and operations expenses against budget

Qualifications

The firm seeks talented professionals passionate about impacting the nonprofit sector. Ideal candidates will possess excellent project management, writing, communication, research, and design skills to contribute to the development of sales materials and resources in a fast-paced corporate environment.

  • Bachelor's degree required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Minimum of three to four years of relevant experience in business development, marketing, communications, nonprofit operations
  • Exceptional communication skills; verbal, writing and proofreading
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Ability to successfully lead and manage projects from inception to conclusion
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Creative presentation design experience
  • Advanced research skills
  • Prior experience with RFPs, proposals, client relationship management databases, Canva and/or other graphic design programs are a plus, but not required.
