Zurich North America is hiring an Crop Underwriting Employee Development Specialist (Senior or AVP Level) to join our team! We are open to hiring talent remotely in US.

The job will entail bringing about organizational change through the creation, delivery and maintenance of employee development programs including mentoring, peer to peer training and development, experiential (“on-the-job”) development opportunities, etc. The role requires collaboration with a dynamic team representing multiple departments. This team will work with RCIS leadership and training teams to ensure customer centricity by developing our employees in a consistent and unified way both technically and relationally. It will require about 50% travel as the team will service our employees throughout the country.
This role will be filled at either the Senior or AVP Level. The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant’s experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Required Qualifications:

Crop Underwriting Employee Development Specialist (Senior Level):

  • Bachelors Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 5 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    AND
  • Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management
  • Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools
  • Project management experience


OR


Crop Underwriting Employee Development Specialist (AVP Level):

  • Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    OR
  • Zurich Certified Insurance Apprentice, including an Associate Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Claims, Consulting, Risk Engineering or Underwriting area
    AND
  • Experience in Organizational Effectiveness or Change Management
  • Experience in the application of existing and/or change management methodologies and tools
  • Project management experience


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Insurance industry knowledge with subject matter expertise in at least one functional insurance discipline; such as Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Engineering

Compensation for roles at Zurich varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. Compensation provided is a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. Other rewards may include short term incentive bonuses and merit increases. The starting salary range for the Crop Underwriting Employee Development Specialist (Senior Level) position is: $94,400.00 – $129,800.00 and for the Crop Underwriting Employee Development Specialist (AVP Level) position is $116,200.00 - $159,800.00.
