The Assistant Store Manager will report to the Store Manager and will serve a critical role in guiding and executing store operations. This individual will work closely with the manager, owner and crew members to ensure fluid day-to-day functioning and long-term growth of store sales. The Assistant Manager must model a culture that celebrates healthy choices; sustain a positive work environment within which employees can grow and remain engaged; and operate with focus on service, efficiency, and profitability. Additionally, this professional must have a firm grasp on fiscal and program priorities, communication skills, and organization in order to get into the details while still maintaining a broad-spectrum view.
Responsibilities
Provide alignment with Juice Bar’s mission, core values, vision, and objectives.
Lead by example.
Grow bench strength and establish future leaders within the team.
Help manager train, coach, and develop the crew to deliver excellent guest service each day.
Demonstrate the ability to resolve conflict proactively and hold your crew accountable.
Focus on meeting and exceeding sales goals by delivering top-quality products.
Ensure a safe, secure, and healthy facility environment by ensuring proper use of sanitation standards, legal regulations, and security systems.
Demonstrate proficiency with provided tools, as well as an understanding of food costs and inventory control.
Be the communicator between the brand and crew members by distributing any necessary resources, including promotional materials.
Work with store manager to highlighting strengths and areas of opportunity.
Ultimate accountability for day-to-day operations.
Maintain respectful, positive attitude toward all crew members and guests.
Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors.
Ensure equipment is clean and in good working order and is being used properly and maintained.
Maintain a 100% health inspection score.
Prepare and complete all required reporting in a timely manner.
Other projects, as assigned by direct supervisor.
Requirements
1+ years of experience in restaurant operations or similar.
Experience building and managing teams that deliver measurable results.
Proven ability to think ahead, engage proactively and take initiative.
Self-starter approach to work and strong problem solver.
Critical eye for detail
An ability to roll your sleeves up work shoulder-to-shoulder with your team, while keeping an eye on the broader picture and preparing for the future.
Passion and ability for guest service, even in trying circumstances.
Ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment and with blurry boundaries regarding roles and responsibilities.
