Airstream Adventures is looking for a dynamic individual to partner with our Service Manager to help grow the department and raise the bar with Guest satisfaction. In this role, your main responsibility will be writing service - initiating services and repairs by ascertaining unit performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; upselling services and products; maintaining Guest records. You will be a critical partner for the Service Manager, as well as serving as the department's primary contact with Guests, vendors, and representatives. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN RV ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER / SERVICE ADVISOR

As our RV Assistant Service Manager, you assist the Service Manager in directing the activities of all service-related staff ensuring exceptional Guest Service and the attainment of Lithia’s performance targets. You help manage the daily business and workflow for the Service Advisors & Service Department. As a hands-on mentor, you demonstrate exceptional Guest service and attention to quality as you assist and remove obstacles with Guest repair orders, and escalated Guest issues. You work hard to create a positive and professional atmosphere for our Team Members and Guests alike.

During the diagnostic, quote, repair, and invoicing (or claim creation) processes, you oversee the total management of work orders, which includes direct contact with Guests. You carefully review and manage service reports. Your job is also highly collaborative as you coordinate efforts with the Service Manager, Foreperson, Parts Manager, Sales Manager and Service Advisors to create an exemplary Total Guest Experience. You focus on improving productivity while increasing operational efficiency, controlling internal costs, and consequently enhancing profitability. You get great satisfaction out of making sure that our Guests are able to continue fulfilling their dreams of creating memories and adventures in an Airstream!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN RV ASSISTANT SERVICE MANAGER

  • Basic mechanical understanding
  • Must possess a strong understanding of the dealership service process.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and follow-up skills.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Experience communicating with Guests face-to-face, on the phone, and via email.
  • Previous experience and basic knowledge of accounting principals
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean, insurable, driving record.
  • Highschool graduate or equivalent
  • Previous Service Advisor experience, preferred.
  • Prior experience as a service technician, a plus.

The salary range for this position is $110,000.00 to $145,000.00. This position is also eligible for bonus opportunites such as upsell bonuses, and a percentage of the service department's adjusted gross.

Actual pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge, and location. This position is also eligible for a short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, as well as a variety of other benefits, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
