Job description
Upscale French Restaurant is looking for an experienced and passionate Assistant Manager to oversee our daily operations. You will be responsible for scheduling staff to ensure there is sufficient coverage during each shift, and monitoring the flow of business during each meal service. Our ideal candidate has at least five years of industry experience, including supervisory roles, and is reliable and trustworthy.
Restaurant Manager Duties and Responsibilities
- Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff
- Create employee schedules to ensure adequate staffing at all times
- Handle paperwork and other administrative duties
- Ensure that the restaurant complies with all health, safety, and licensing regulations
- Handle complaints, conflicts, questions, and suggestions from restaurant patrons and employees
Restaurant Manager Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of experience in a restaurant with at least 1 year in a supervisory role
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to stand for extended periods
- Flexible schedule
Bilingual: French (highly preferred)
