Service as an Assistant Prosecutor in Cass County offers an exciting and satisfying opportunity to pursue justice in the appealing environment of southwest Michigan. Assistant prosecutors work as a team to handle a wide variety of matters including domestic violence, narcotics, theft, embezzlement, sex crimes, racketeering, conspiracy, weapons, major assault, juvenile, abuse neglect, appellate and homicide cases.

Cass County is part of the unique and iconic Michiana area. Boasting over 100 lakes in the county, the area also provides a satisfying environment laced with abundant rural, village and urban living, recreational and social opportunities. With a rich history including a pivotal chapter in our country’s Underground Railroad era, the vicinity provides abundant cultural and consumer opportunities-both within Cass County and in the bordering Michigan and Indiana communities (Niles, Dowagiac, Edwardsburg, Cassopolis, South Bend, Elkhart, Granger, Mishawaka, St. Joseph, Kalamazoo, Nappanee [Amish Communities], Southwestern Michigan College, Notre Dame, Saint Mary’s, Holy Cross, Western Michigan University, etc.).

Salary range: $59,731-$77,650 based on experience and includes fringe benefit package.
