Salary

Compensation will be commensurate with applicant qualifications.

Hours per Week

Essential Functions

The Assistant Professor position in Kinesiology is one of three positions under the cluster for the Human Performance Initiative (HPI) to include, 1) Full Pofessor/Director, 2) Open Rank, and 3) Assistant Professor. The successful candidate is expected to demonstrate a record of high-quality research, scholarship, and external funding capabilities, excellence in undergraduate and graduate education or evidence of the ability to teach, and a commitment to inclusion and diversity.

Required Qualifications
  • Doctorate degree in a related field.
  • Candidates with an anticipated PhD graduation date before August 2023 will be considered.
  • Outstanding research, teaching and funding record appropriate for appointment at the desired rank (for those seeking appointments with tenure, this is contingent upon the UT Board of Regents' approval).
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusion and diversity.
  • Demonstrate their ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of diverse urban populations and support the University's commitment to thrive as a Hispanic Serving Institution and a model for student success.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Preferred qualifications include postdoctoral research experience.
  • Expertise in Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, or Strength and Conditioning.



Working Conditions

On Campus: Primary work location will be on campus; parking and travel expenses are the employees responsibility.
