Assistant Product Manager – Product Development

IMPACT ON BUSINESS:

As we continue to expand, our products continue to grow right along with us-in volume and complexity. That is why we need an eager Assistant Product Manager to help move us forward. As a Beall’s Inc Assistant Product Manager, you will support the coordination efforts of our global and domestic sourcing blueprint to balance the diverse needs of our exclusive brand products for Bealls, Bealls Florida, and Home Centric. You will serve as an apprentice, learning to negotiate value and profitability, leveraging buying power with a focused supplier network, and ensuring speed to market delivery through a targeted time and action calendar. Because our product development efforts are currently handled by cross-functional teams, you will also play an important role in liaising communications with suppliers, design teams, import production teams, merchant teams and key stakeholders to drive the highest quality product according to specification, delivery, and costing expectations.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES [Essential Functions]:

• Assist efforts to drive the business strategy, the branding strategy, and the sourcing blueprint to achieve targeted sales and profitability.
• Serves as the support associate of designated home categories, anticipating future trends and market indicators which support consumer demand.
• Supports time and action calendars to ensure targeted milestones are met to facilitate alignment on business strategies, smooth production, and on-time delivery.
• Supports cross functionally aligned global and domestic sourcing strategies for assigned product categories for Bealls, Bealls Florida, and Home Centric.
• Works with partners to understand the impact of global market conditions such as tariffs, social compliance issues, freight challenges, international labor costs, political matters, and raw material costs.
• Engages to support positive supplier relations, from vendor set up, to order entry and delivery.
• Performs full range of approvals, from PP (Pre-Production) to TOP (Top of Production), encompassing ticketing, and packaging with the guidance of Senior Manager.
• Ensures on-time delivery, meeting consumer demand to expedite purchased goods. Uses agile methods to navigate revisions of purchase orders.
• Enforces standards with suppliers to comply with our code of ethics in support of human rights and labor laws. This includes protection against child labor, forced labor, prison labor, human trafficking, and other health & safety related concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ATTRIBUTES:

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written and presentation skills.
• Willingness to observe and learn principles of global supply chain operations.
• Proficient Excel and data analysis skills.
• Strategic thinker with superb organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter with excellent project management skills.
• Ability to collaborate and coordinate across multiple business partners, internal and external.
• A strong sense of urgency and ability to strategize solutions under aggressive deadlines.
