Assistant Operations Manager

Full time position

Pay: $27-$29.50 per hour to start, DOE

Potential for seasonal bonuses and an increase in wage after training is completed

2 weeks paid vacation

Reimbursement for gas expense after 100 miles per week (20 miles per day)

$300 a month benefits reimbursement or towards our group health insurance plan after 3 months employment

Must be available for work most Fridays and Saturdays

Must live within 20 minutes of North Lake Tahoe/Truckee

A little bit about us: We are a small, boutique vacation rental company, Owned and Operated by two partners. We currently manage 45 properties in the north Lake Tahoe and Truckee area.

This position offers a great opportunity to work for a locally owned small business that offers flexibility and room for growth. The job includes a variety of tasks, including by not limited to reservations, administrative work, customer relations, assisting in the short term rental permitting and compliance process, meeting vendors at properties, errands, updating advertising, scheduling maintenance, onboarding new properties, and being in town and on call when the Owner is on vacation or some mutually agreed upon after hours. Everyone does everything here, so it may include an occasional cleaning inspection or dump run.

This employment opportunity is a full time paid position (regardless of how much work there is), with the understanding that we are living in a highly seasonal area. Expect to have less work in the off seasons and more work during the holiday weeks and peak seasons. The work environment is part time office, part time work from home (if you choose), and out in the field. You’ll be working in the office with the Co-Owner 2 days per week. We value flexibility, recreation, and fun, so we can switch days off when needed, but plan to be regularly available Friday and Saturday.

Prior hospitality, hotel or vacation rental experience a huge plus! This job is customer facing (primarily phone and email, our office does not have walk in clientele). Helpfulness and friendliness are key qualities.
