Rowman & Littlefield Publishing Group is looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager in the to manage the effective communication flow to the outside market. The ideal candidate will develop and decide on the tools necessary to track, report and analyze budget impact on the market, while playing an essential role to also support company-wide marketing initiatives, such as program & client engagement and
brand development. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Marketing & Publicity at our Globe Pequot office in Essex, CT.

Responsibilities

• Traffic marketing communication
  • Seamless integration of marketing messages across all media including; direct mail, digital communication and events
  • Ensure client communication is delivered in a timely manner for maximum impact
• Budget Alignment
  • Develop an expense tracking tool to track and report monthly budget expenses and follow up to ensure marketing team stays within budget
  • Provide accurate expense reporting that provide insight into effective marketing tools
• Team Development
  • Assist in the implementation of team development projects to include the identification of approaches, the establishment of goals and the measurement of its impact
  • Track and report on participation
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement
• Brand Development
  • Assist in the implementation of the brand development process to include coordinated surveys and focus groups
  • Assimilate and present reporting data regularly
  • Provide feedback for continuous improvement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications or related field
• Solid understanding of how marketing impacts business/revenue
• Exemplary communication skills and a high level of detail-orientation
• Demonstrated ability to make decisions and influence without authority
• Travel – 10%
