The Shine Shop is a top of the line express tunnel car wash located in Johnston, IA.

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join The Shine Shop team at our Johnston location.

As an Assistant Manager you will have responsibility for managing day to day operations of an express tunnel car wash where customers drive in, pay with a credit card at an automated pay machine, and enter the car wash tunnel to clean their cars while staying in their cars. After they exit the tunnel, they have the option of using free vacuums or leaving.

Main responsibilities for the Assistant Manager:

• Opening/closing the site
• Ensuring customers vehicles are processed properly and in a timely fashion
• Ensuring the facility is clean, safe and properly maintained and presented
• Maintaining, trouble shooting and repairing some tunnel and car wash equipment
• Ability to perform and assist all duties of the car wash team as needed
• Resolving and minimizing customers complaints and vehicle damage claims
• Responsible for supervision, training and success of the car wash team.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures and company culture to all team members.
• Assisting with the creation of staff schedules for FT and PT employees
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements/Physical Demands for Assistant Managers:

• Available to work a variety of shifts and/or days of the week
• Working in all types of weather conditions.
• Ability to be on your feet for long hours at a time.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
