The Aviator Manager must be professional with a focus on genuine hospitality. This position requires strong leadership and communication skills with a developed eye for detail. The manager will be responsible for total property management and the quality of the overall guest experience.

Reports to: General Manager

Responsibilities

• Management of all restaurant employees to meet standards and expectations set by The Aviator Event Center & Pub
• Meets restaurant financial objectives by forecasting requirements, assisting with preparation of annual budget, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions
• Hands on assistance of both dining room service staff, and bartender staff
• Staying attentive to all guest’s needs at all times
• Engagement with restaurant guests in an effort to build relationships to increase repeat business
• Oversee and ensure the completion of all side work, before, during, and after the shifts
• Demonstrating correct financial reporting and cash handling
• Assess employee development needs and train/ coach staff
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of all beverage and food items for the Pub and are meeting The Aviator set standards
• Adherence to stock control and prep sheet procedures
• Must build professional relationships with suppliers and sale representatives
• Stay current with all state of Ohio liquor laws
• Maintain regular communication with management through weekly meetings and discussions

Requirements

• Strong leadership and developed personnel management skills
• 1-year management experience in fast casual or quick service restaurants
• Customer service-oriented commitment to 100% guest satisfaction
• Comfortable coaching & giving feedback to staff
• Self-motivated with a high energy level
• Problem solver with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Good verbal & written communication skills
• Coming to work on time, and with a positive attitude every shift
• Following all policies and procedures as listed in The Aviator Event Center & Pub Employee Handbook
• Attention to cleanliness and safety
• High school diploma and food safety training will be considered a plus
• Can bend and lift up to 50 lbs. during shift
• Is able to stand/walk continually for up to/ and exceeding 8 hours

All managers will undergo a comprehensive 4-week training period covering all aspects of restaurant operations. This will be, for the most part, in shadow of the General Manager

Managers will then function under a 60-day probationary work period. During training and before being allowed to work any post-training shifts, all managers must complete and pass a Food/Menu Test, a Beverage Test, and a General Restaurant Knowledge Test.
