Share your love for cooking and kitchenware with others! We are currently seeking an Assistant Kitchen Store Manager. This position would be full-time in our Belmont location.

Local Root by Didriks is seeking someone passionate about cooking, baking, and kitchenware to take on the role of Assistant Kitchen Store Manager for our Belmont store. Local Root is looking for someone who is a quick learner, takes initiative, is very organized, can work independently, and has the ability to adapt to multiple and changing duties.

This is a full-time position that includes weekends. Compensation will be hourly and there is a strong potential for growth.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Maintaining clear communication with vendors and customers
• Providing excellent customer service in-store and over the phone
• Offering kitchenware, cooking, and baking suggestions to customers
• Sustaining an organized and pleasant shopping environment
• Distributing merchandise throughout the store
• Merchandising products and maintaining all store displays
• Assisting with product photoshoots
• Receiving and unpacking merchandise
• Assisting in organization and execution of in-store events and promotions
• Inventory maintenance
• Opening and closing duties
• Weekends required

Desired Skills and Experience:

• Interest in cooking, kitchenware, and taking care of customers
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to "wear many hats," and adapt to multiple changing duties
• Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as collaborate in a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Retail experience preferred
• Cooking, baking, or kitchenware background a plus
• Ability to work with computerized inventory management systems
• Communicate with customers and provide great customer service
• Required to have the ability to lift and move heavy objects
