Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Works collaboratively with supervisors, colleagues, students, and parents/guardians
  • Help implement effective lesson plans provided by lead teacher
  • Help support the maintenance of child child's portfolio, and Daily Activity Report
  • Support lead teacher in the preparing, adapting, arranging, and maintaining preschool materials
  • Meet the individual needs of each of your students
  • Ensure safety of children by providing sufficient and appropriate supervision and guidance of children at all times
  • Interact with the children to support the development of life skills through play, exploration, learning, self-esteem, and social skills
  • Help provide support in a variety of developmentally appropriate activities to engage children in learning
  • Help promote positive behavior and healthy peer relationships through social emotional development
  • Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and colleagues
  • Participate in staff meetings and training
  • Help to maintain an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the classroom
  • Comply with Goddard's Quality Assurance standards
  • Comply with Colorado Department of Early Childhood Licensing Rules/Regulations
  • Ensure that children are always within state ratio requirements
  • Continue your own education/professional development

Requirements

  • Experience: Working with young children is preferred
  • Education: Working toward attaining Early Childhood Teacher qualifications is preferred
  • Must pass all required background checks
  • Ability to handle crisis situations, especially where children are involved
  • Ability to evacuate and respond immediately to emergency situations
  • ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Occasional lifting, five (5) to fifty (50) pounds
  • Frequent bending, stooping, walking, standing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, reaching, and sitting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.50 per hour
