Position Overview

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform daily banking/cash management responsibilities
• Reconcile general ledger accounts on a daily/monthly basis
• Help in the preparation of the monthly financial statements and other financial reports
• Record journal entries for several general ledger accounts
• Complete and file monthly sales tax reports
• Perform general accounting duties daily
• Assist CFO and Controller with day-to-day responsibilities
• Ensure proper adherence to policies and procedures.
• Assist with optimizing and implementing the new ERP systems for inventory management, reporting, billing, etc.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate or bachelors in accounting or 3 + years of accounting experience doing reconciliations and financial reporting.
• High Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook is required.
• High energy with a positive and friendly can-do attitude
• Ability to work independently in a team environment and take the initiative.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally.
• Strong attention to detail, highly organized, able to prioritize, possess strong multi-tasking skills, able to exercise good judgment and apply discretion
• Ability to work well with all organizational levels to influence actions and negotiate outcomes.
• Ability to listen and communicate effectively through oral and written means
• Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality

NON-ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Maintain a clean works place
• Data entry and various office duties

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Ability to sit for extended periods
• Reach to answer phones
• Read paperwork, files, and records on the computer
• Communicate by phone and in person
• Walking and moving about on foot
• Hear well enough to receive communication by telephone or in-person
• Bend body downward and forward by bending at the knees and waist
• Remain in a standing position if required to perform various functions of the job
