Job Description:

Assist in the supervision of all Cage Operations and ensure compliance with all regulations and procedures are being followed during shift.

Core Responsibilities:

• Oversee Cage Cashiers and Main Bank.
• Ensure all New York State Video Lottery regulations and procedures are being followed.
• Stay current on trends within the casino industry which could impact the facility and the cage operation.
• Track and ensure compliance with corporate mandatory trainings, including but not limited to Title 31 and PCI.
• Track and train current and new associates on proper procedures and regulations.
• Assist in the development of on – boarding departmental check lists for new employees.
• Organize and maintain accurate pre – shift department meetings as needed.
• Schedule all shifts for the cage under supervision of the Cage Manager.
• Hand out cashiers’ banks and passing out cash drawers to cashiers.
• Handle flow and tracking of all cash through the cages.
• Direct Cashiers during shift.
• Maintain an accurate cash balance.
• Maintain a safe work and customer environment.
• Treats each person, customer, or associate as an individual and in a professional manner.
• Leads by example in the skills of Guest service and positive interaction with associates, guests, and supervisors by mutual respect for all people’s needs.
• Demonstrates skill in dealing with guest complaints, using active listening skills to control difficult situations and maintain guest goodwill.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience in cash handling required (Bank and or Vault)
• One- or two-year’s supervisory experience required.
• Must be able to obtain a New York State Gaming License.

Other

• Intermediate computer skills, including e-mail, word, excel spreadsheets, data input and record keeping.
• Basic Math skills, addition and subtraction.
• Able to handle large money transactions.
