Job description
Jefferson County is accepting applications for an Assessor Technician I. This position collects, compiles, analyzes and records real property data and real property sales data into permanent record. Maintains real property records system of ownership, tax status and legal descriptions. Assists with the various exemption programs offered, personal property system, providing technical support and backup as needed with other duties as assigned.
Requires a High School Diploma or GED; and five years progressively responsible administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
This position is the first level on the career ladder for Assessor Technicians and typically starts at $21.73-$22.27 DOQ. Advancement to the next higher-level position within the career ladder requires the completion of the requirements for each level and a positive recommendation from the Assessor. Assessor Technician II/III full range is $23.36 to $31.42
This union position is full time, 40 hours per week with full benefits including a pension. The application period is open until filled. ADA/EOE.
