Assessor Reviewer

As an* Assessor Reviewer*, you will be responsible for completing PASRR Level II diagnostic evaluations which are face-to-face (via telehealth or in-person) interviews with individuals referred to the nursing home level of care in Colorado when the facility is licensed by Medicaid. The purpose of the interview is to determine if a qualifying PASRR condition is indicated, if the nursing home level of care is appropriate, and to make recommendations for specialized services to be added to the nursing home’s treatment plan. You may also conduct training of new assessors and quality assurance competency reviews as assigned.

This position is PRN, with flexible scheduling as needed, approximately 15-20 hours a week.

What You'll Do:

  • You will perform Telehealth assessments of persons with suspected behavioral health and/or I/DD condition(s)
  • You will collaborate with healthcare providers and ancillary service providers to create or validate the appropriate treatment plan.
  • You will document assessment results for the individual member status or negotiate a service plan as needed.
  • You will complete quality assurance competency reviews and other tasks/projects as assigned such as new assessor training.
  • You will provide ongoing education and may communicate with all healthcare providers to ensure the appropriateness of care.

What You'll Need:

  • Two or Four-year degree in a health care or related field and a minimum of three years working as a behavioral health provider.
  • An independently licensed behavioral health clinician in a mental health field (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LAC) In the state of Colorado
  • Experience conducting diagnostic evaluations
  • Experience with treatment plan formulations
  • Experience with PASRR Level 2 evaluations preferred
  • Experience with ID/DD populations preferred
  • Experience with medical necessity determinations preferred

Anticipated Compensation Range:
Estimated between $39 to $40 per hour based on education and experience
