The Job
The
Assessor-Recorder-County Clerk is recruiting for an
Assessment Services Manager who will manage, through subordinate supervisors, the daily operations of the Assessment Services Division which includes mapping, change of ownership, title changes, exemptions, exclusions, corrections, and public information services. Essential duties include reconciling, balancing, and preparing the annual assessment roll for Assessor approval, and serving as a subject matter expert for the Property Information Management Systems team which analyzes and establishes policy and procedure changes.

Annual Across-the-Board Salary Increases in February 2024/2025**
**Salary increases contingent upon Property Related Revenue and/or statewide Proposition 172 Sales Tax Collections performance.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Travel throughout the County may be required. Incumbents must make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced by the individual providing the transportation and maintained during the course of employment.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Three (3) years of supervisory experience in a California County office coordinating activities associated with the development and maintenance of the assessment roll and must include interpreting and applying California revenue and taxation codes.
Desired Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of relevant State laws and regulations pertaining to assessments for property tax purposes; a comprehensive understanding of assessment practices; and experience developing and maintaining effective working relationships with various divisions, departments, and agencies.
