Staffmark is seeking qualified and motivated Assembly Workers to work at A.O. Smith, a premier employer and manufacturer in Johnson City. Assembly Workers will work in a fast-paced environment with the responsibility of performing tasks involved in the production of Water Heaters in a safe and efficient manner. Operates, tends, stops, and cleans machines; assembles finished product; and inspects work to ensure the highest quality.
Starting pay is $15.50/HR and goes to $18.36/HR after hire-on in 90 to 150 days!
1st shift is 6 AM to 2:30 PM, 2nd shift is 3:30 PM to Midnight
M-F schedule with the possibility of overtime on Saturday
40+ hours a week.
Job Responsibilities of Assembly Worker:
- Assemble components while inspecting for fit, form, and function per defined procedures
- Machine operation
- Learn multiple tasks related to the assigned production area
- Use a variety of hand tools
- Work quickly but mindfully with minimal errors/mistakes
- Maintain a clean and safe production area
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements of Assembly Worker:
- 18+ years of age
- High School Diploma or GED required
- At least one year of prior factory/manufacturing experience
- To be able to lift 30+ pounds
- To pass a drug screen
