Assembly & Test Technician
Location: Arvada, CO

Our manufacturing team at Special Aerospace Services is critical to executing on our mission, supporting the technical work done in our field offices, and keeping our business running effectively. As an Assembly and Test Technician on this team, you will ensure a quality product through robust assembly and test operations in this hands-on role, in a fast-paced dynamic environment. The candidate selected for this position will create and execute test and assembly plans for subsystems in aerospace and defense programs with a wide range of complexity levels.

How You Will Be Rewarded

This role's annual base salary range is $40,000 to $60,000. Compensation depends on the candidate’s work experience, education/training, and related skills.

To qualify for this role, we require candidates to have the following:
  • 5+ years of applicable experience
  • Understanding of the principles, concepts, and methods of assembly and testing operations
  • Ability to use sophisticated skills to design, develop, and evaluate testing and assembly needs
  • Experience providing feedback on assembly and test plans to meet detailed requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
In addition, we are most interested in candidates who also have:
  • Specialized training and experience and/or an Associate degree from a technical school
  • Experience in the full life cycle for test planning from requirement definition through execution and post-test data processing
  • Experience defining, designing, and/or procuring test and assembly support equipment
  • Experience in test design reviews
  • Experience in root cause and corrective action techniques
  • Sound judgment, high energy, and creative
  • Knowledge of and experience in MIL-spec practices
  • CPI_J-STD-001H Certification with Space addendum
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620D Certification with Space addendum
