Job Summary:

A fast-paced plastics assembly plant, the ConMet Chillicothe, Ohio location is looking for Assembly Operators to fill several positions available. These positions are hands-on producing finished components and parts for the light-weight heavy duty trucking industry.

Shift hours are Monday - Friday, 6:00am-2:30pm. Employees may be required to work overtime as required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Fulfill production requirements to meet or exceed customer on-time delivery
• Inspect parts throughout the production process to verify quality expectations are being met or exceeded
• Detect and report nonconforming materials
• Operate assembly machines
• Use small hand tools as required.
• Use of hands/fine motor skills to perform repetitive tasks
• Follow written and verbal instructions
• Work well in team environment to ensure safety, quality, and production guidelines are followed

Qualifications and Competencies:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic mathematical skills
• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, work instructions, manifests, etc.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

Environmental & Physical Demands:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for extended periods of time. Use of hands/fingers is required to hold or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms. Good hearing is required.
• The employee must regularly lift up to 35 pounds, and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to look up, around and over the shoulder.
• Occupational noise exposure during performance of required duties. Adequate hearing protection is provided, but is not required.
• Occupational exposure to fumes, dust, and debris is regularly encountered. Safety glasses are required at all times.

• $18.00 per hour, with 6 month wage increases
