Your Role With Us:

You will play a crucial role in facilitating access to receiving or participating in health care by providing clear, accurate, impartial and timely language interpretation for members of the hard of hearing, Deaf and/or limited English proficiency (LEP) communities. This position is paid at a flat rate of $65.00 per hour.

Background/Expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Current RID Certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in medical interpretation required.
• Within 1 year of hire:
  
• Obtain Oregon State Health Care Interpreter Qualification.
  
• ASL and spoken language interpreters will maintain their certification, qualification, or licensure current and in good standing throughout the duration of their employment with Salem Health.
