Area Manager Description

Basic Function: Directs and coordinates activities concerned with delivering company services to customers by performing the following duties personally or through delegation to subordinates.

Major Responsibilities:

· Confers with management personnel to establish production and quality control standards, develop budget and cost controls, and obtain data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of services ordered.

· Plans and directs activities and establishes work priorities for services in keeping with effective operations and cost factors.

· Coordinates service activities with procurement, maintenance, and quality control activities to obtain optimum use of human resources, machines, and equipment.

· Reviews and analyzes production, quality control, maintenance, and operational reports to determine causes of nonconformity with service specifications, and operating problems.

· Develops and implements operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve service quality.

· Act as an ambassador for company values and philosophy

· Supervise, facilitate and coordinate key personnel and technical/operational processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction

· Provide daily administrative oversight of the project including all internal business functions: budgeting, accounting, human resources, facilities support and equipment

· Identify problems and solutions to ensure that customer needs are met. Foster problem resolution across core team by deciphering relevant and important facts and information to drive tangible solutions

· Perform quality audits and inspections to specifications

· Ensure contractual requirements are met

· Provide reports to and coordinate with supervisors to ensure proper corrective actions are taken

· Manage the online quality control management system

· Maintain reports and inspection documentation, present findings, reports, and program summary in formal meeting with client each quarter

· Demonstrate high energy, mobility, initiative, and drive to enhance operations and achieve financial and organizational success

· Travel occasionally to support corporate needs and attend functions

· Revises schedules and priorities as result of equipment failure or operating problems.

· Maintains close contact with accounts to ensure quality customer service and satisfaction.

· Participates in marketing and new business development efforts when directed.

· Personally participate in and promote the processes and programs of Performance Management and Safety systems throughout the organization.

· Completes other assignments and projects as directed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Manages one or more subordinate managers who supervise the other employees in the Operations Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.

Carries out supervisory responsibilities according to company policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directly work; reviewing performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Pay: From $33.00 per hour
