FULL TIME - Location: Austin, TX -

SUMMARY:
Promote Kelly-Moore architectural coatings that are suitable for the construction and commercial segments to architects, designers, specification writers, and color consultants for construction projects in an assigned district/division. The primary determinant of success in this roll is incremental increases in revenue within the assigned district/division for categories including commercial painting contractors, commercial builders, general contractors, and designers/architects and all associated projects.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop relationships with specification writers to promote Kelly-Moore Products and colors being specified exclusively on construction projects.
• Develop and deliver effective sales presentations.
• Develop a plan to increase the awareness of Kelly-Moore’s Architectural services to the construction industry.
• Develop business based on market and industry demands that will provide Kelly-Moore the opportunity to increase market share for its architectural coatings in the construction industry.
• Collaborate with Sales Representatives and District Sales Managers to generate project leads and account leads within the construction industry.
• Participate in company meetings, functions, and training as required.
• Participate in professional organizations, associations, trade shows and conventions as required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to frequently travel in a vehicle.
• Ability to use a computer for various business applications including CRM’s, MS Office, Power Point and to find information and perform research on the internet.
• Ability to communicate in English. Fluency in at least one other language is preferred.
• Ability to prepare and organize numeric and non-numeric records and data in digital and print formats, including specifications, activity reports and expense reports.
• Ability to multi-task, manage competing priorities, and be flexible according to business demands.
• Ability to manage time effectively and maximize productivity.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• At least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the paint and/or the coatings industry.
• General knowledge of interior and exterior building materials.
• Knowledge of general principles used in the architectural and design community.
• Excellent communication skills, including oral and written comprehension and expression, and superior listening skills.
• Demonstrated knowledge of principles and methods for providing exceptional customer service, including assessing the customer’s needs, meeting quality standards, and evaluating customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrated ability to professionally communicate with and influence decision makers.
• Valid driver’s license, a safe driving record and successful completion of the company driver’s safety and defensive driving courses as required.
• A Business, marketing, or technical degree is strongly preferred.
