CHI Saint Joseph Medical Group in Bardstown, Kentucky is searching for a full time Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner to join an established Obstetrics and Gynecology practice in growing their comprehensive program.

Essential Duties
:
  • Understand, support, and implement the mission of the facility to deliver health care to those in need in the performance of all job responsibilities.
  • Ensure that patient care meets or exceeds the facility quality standards.
  • Ensure that patient satisfaction meets or exceeds standards set by the facility.
  • Educate patients on both clinical and managed care.
  • Participate in clinic and network task forces as requested and appropriate.
  • Function as an effective clinic team member.
  • Meet productivity standards.
  • Effectively use clinic financial and other performance information.
Education:
  • Board Certified - or eligible.
License/Certification:
  • Kentucky Licensure.

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse is a licensed independent provider responsible for managing health problems and coordinating health care for identified patients in accordance with the State and Federal rules and regulations and within the scope of practice for the Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities

  • Complies with safety and emergency procedures.

  • Documents activities consistent with Hospital/Department/Unit Guidelines.
  • Performs critical/frequent procedures or services.
  • Provides care/services based on identified needs.
  • Uses required equipment for providing care/services.

Qualifications

Required Education for Staff Job Levels


Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program


Required Licensure and Certifications


Current APRN licensure required. BLS required.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Minimum of three years full-time experience as APRN in specialty area. Must possess and maintain BLS and ACLS. Demonstrated clinical competence; ability to collaborate with others; ability to initiate and plan own activities; effective patient/staff teaching. Must apply for hospital privileges. Adequate conversational English is required in order that the individual be able to take direction from management, understand how to complete job tasks, communicate adequately with patients and co-workers as necessary, understand and follow safety guidelines, and understand the Associate Handbook and all hospital policies.
