Apprentice Funeral Director

Full Job Description

CC Shepherd Funeral Home is seeking a newly licensed Funeral Director or that is looking to begin in the industry and develop a career in Funeral Directing. We are a young, energetic, and growing company seeking out hard working individuals to be a part of an exciting and rewarding future.

· Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized services across all faiths

· Conducts and attends services regularly

· Understand and implements company provided training

· Works on-call as needed

· Assisting on and completing transfers from houses, hospitals, and nursing facilities

· Works with other employees to ensure we all meet a high standard of professionalism and service level

· Maintains open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files

· Participation in community events, groups and/or organizations

· Ensures all files and paperwork are timely and in accordance with relevant laws and

Regulations

· Utilizes internal systems to review merchandise options, enter contracts and complete necessary

Forms

· Overseeing/maintaining stock of all supplies

· Other tasks as assigned

Requirements

· Demonstrated willingness to participate in growing market share through community

involvement

· Ability to lift at least 75 pounds

· Excellent communication skills

· Ability to multitask and balance multiple ongoing cases

· Ability to accomplish tasks in an efficient manner while maintaining meticulous

attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Benefits:

- Hourly pay based on attitude and commitment ($15-20/hour)

- Learning funeral directing first hand, involved in all aspects of the home.

Schedule:

- 8-hour shift

- On-call rotation once trained

Experience:

• Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
• Funeral Director License (Preferred)
