Location: On site preferred. 9201 E. Mountain View Road, Scottsdale, AZ 85258. Remote considered for the right candidate:

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 6:00 pm MST and On Call Rotation

Position Summary:

The Application Support Analyst provides IT support to our internal clients in Arizona and Florida offices, in addition to our remote workforce in accordance with policies and procedures as established by the organization. The Application Support Analyst is responsible for the execution of planned projects and reacting to unplanned incidents that occur on a daily basis, managing time appropriately to complete both types of tasks. The position requires some development experience, technical troubleshooting abilities, customer service, and time management skills.


Organizational contributions:
  • Maintains internal customer productivity by delivering application support for business critical applications.

Interacts with:
Business Services, IT developers, Custom Solutions, IT Infrastructure

Responsibilities and Deliverables
  • Involvement in design, delivery and support of new applications purchased or created by Matrix.
    • Previous General Coding and MSSQL development experience is required
  • Troubleshooting problems with Matrix developed and 3rd party applications.
    • Previous General Coding and MSSQL develpment experience
  • Administration of production applications in a predominantly Microsoft Windows environment
  • Proactively monitor and maintain the IT environment and react to unplanned events as they arise
  • Provide second level technical support for applications deployed into production, development and test environments.
  • Work closely with the IT Service Desk, picking up assigned work, and providing timely feedback during execution and completion.
  • Support users in their day-to-day use of company IT resources, using innovative solutions to minimize down-time and maximize user productivity
  • Perform all work in accordance with established Service Level Agreements
  • Implement corporate system security policies and procedures including rights to all systems and network resources within the Company
  • Research and develop new solutions and process improvements to ensure prompt and accurate resolution of technical challenges and business issues
  • Partner with appropriate teams to conduct and oversee root cause analysis on mission critical or service level failures
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Education Requirements

B.S. or a B.A. college degree preferred and/or equivalent work experience in an Application Support role. MCSE or other MS certifications.


Must Haves:

  • At least 1 year Azure Cloud Services
  • At least 1 year MS Dynamics 365 experience
  • 2+ years experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Polices, Windows permissions and Windows Desktop (Windows 7 and up)
  • 2 years troubleshooting/supporting MSSQL back-end solution.
  • Prior experience providing operational support for production systems
  • Minimum of 4 years technical support experience in a corporate environment required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills - ability to stay call and communicate in a professional and positive way.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to be flexible, set priorities and meet deadlines in a changing environment
  • Must have decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
  • Self-motivated and self-starter
  • Ability to work as part of a team or independently under minimal direction while demonstrating initiative and using good business judgment
  • Able to represent the Company in a positive and professional manner.
  • Experience with SQL Reporting Services, Internet Information Services (IIS), Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server

Key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Meeting SLA’s – Response time, TAT / Resolution
  • Successful release management. (Supporting development teams with releases and post implementation support)
  • Rapid application release problem resolution. (Work with development teams to quickly identify and resolve problems with applications.
  • Rapid resolution to end-user caused application issues.
