Job Description:

The Application Specialist will support all end users in all approved software applications. They are responsible to assist in maintaining the network infrastructure including but not limited to W2K8 & server W2K12 server active directory, as well as switches wiring and mail applications. They will also assist users with desktop and network applications in this fast-paced work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Support team members with day-to-day technology applications.
  • Maintain assigned software and hardware with updates.
  • Maintain both network and application security including team access.
  • Fulfill user requests for system training and support as needed.
  • Assist with development and documentation of team member technology procedures as assigned. Be able to re-evaluate shift priorities dynamically as business needs warrant.
  • Be able to work as a team supporting both end users as well as fellow technology team members.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies and procedures.

Education and Experience:

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Casino experience preferred.
  • Two or more years in a technology customer support position or equivalent.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Proficient knowledge in all aspects of network fabric architecture including firewall and layer 3 configuration.
  • Application certifications in two or more Company software applications or the ability to demonstrate proficiency.
  • Ability to work proficiently in a minimally supervised position with the capability to dynamically adjust daily task priorities.
  • Ability to remotely support property applications as assigned.
  • Must possess a solid understanding of networking in a Microsoft Windows Active Directory environment, Group Policy administration, Microsoft System Center, Citrix, Hyper-V, UNIX knowledge some help.
  • Must have a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office with the ability to assist and train end users.
  • Knowledge of SQL server, MS exchange, MS Access, graphic arts a plus.
  • Must have the basic understanding of gaming rules and regulations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, with variable overtime.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

  • Registration with Gaming Control Board

Machinery, Work Equipment, Programs, Software, Hardware Used:

  • Various Scientific Games (SG) software applications (SDS, CMP, EBS)
  • Agilisys – Office Suite and Windows WS and server platforms, Exchange
  • Remote Access Software – varied list
  • Network Diagnostics hardware and software – e.g., Wireshark, Fluke, etc.
